Samit Saraf

CA Samit Saraf is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a holder of the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA, London. With over 14 years of post-qualification experience, he has built a distinguished career in Internal Audit and Risk Advisory Services, earning a reputation as a trusted architect of governance across sectors spanning listed corporations, large privately held entities, government bodies, non-profit organisations, and multinational companies. Samit currently serves as National Head & Partner – Risk Advisory at Kirtane & Pandit LLP, one of India’s leading Chartered Accountancy firms. In this role, he oversees the firm’s pan-India Internal Audit and Risk Advisory practice, leading a team of over 250 professionals across five partners and multiple offices. Under his stewardship, the practice serves a diverse and growing clientele of mid-size, large, and listed organisations across the country. An active contributor to the CA profession’s institutional fabric, Samit has been a Managing Committee Member of the prestigious Bombay Chartered Accountants Society (BCAS) for four consecutive years upto 2025-26 and has been recently elected as the Hon. Joint Secretary (elect) of the BCAS for 2026-27. He currently also serves as Co-Chairman of the Accounting & Auditing Committee of BCAS for 2025-26, having previously served as Convenor of its Internal Audit Committee for three years. He has also been a Member of the Internal Audit Committee of WIRC of ICAI in 2022-23, is a active Core Group Member of BCAS for the past 12 years, and has contributed to the flagship BCAS Referencer on the subject of Auditing for over 5 years. Samit is a sought-after speaker and faculty member at premier professional forums including IASB-ICAI, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), IIM Bangalore, BCAS, WIRC, NIRC, SIRC, and CII, with Internal Audit as his core subject. He serves as a Trainer Faculty for the ICAI’s Certificate Course on Internal Audit for the past three years and has made technical contributions to several ICAI publications. His thought leadership extends to governance and entrepreneurship, reflected in his role as a Board Member of the Global Chamber of Saraswat Entrepreneurs (Saraswat Chamber of Commerce).
